We’re seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations in Bellingham. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who takes pride in independent setups, process accuracy, and producing tight-tolerance parts. You’ll play a critical role in setting up and optimizing CNC equipment to ensure consistent quality and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities
Independently set up multiple CNC mills and lathes including Haas, Mori Seiki, Toyoda, Nakamura, and similar equipment
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, fixtures, attachments, and workpieces
Perform First Article Inspections and monitor in-process part quality
Adjust and maintain tooling offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy
Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues
Assist CNC operators with setup adjustments and tool changes
Identify and implement process improvements
Create or update setup sheets, procedures, and related documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Minimum Qualifications
Proven ability to independently set up, troubleshoot, and run tight-tolerance parts, including difficult-to-machine materials
Experience performing independent setups on 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis CNC machines
Hands-on experience with a variety of CNC machines (candidates should be prepared to discuss specific equipment)
Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment
Ability to navigate CNC controls and diagnose machine alarms or errors
Advanced blueprint reading skills, including GD&T
Ability to pass a basic criminal background check
